Gateway Waterfall Park
Gateway Waterfall Park, situated in the heart of the Waterfall City precinct in Midrand, is a vibrant 1.3-hectare public green space that was unveiled in March 2016 together with the Mall of Africa. Designed as a multi-functional hub, the park features terraced lawns and a natural amphitheatre that can host up to 5,000 spectators, along with an interactive fountain, performance stage, and pavilion.
At the core of its construction, Barnes Reinforcing Industries supplied and fabricated high-quality rebar and mesh. These reinforcing products were essential to the park’s concrete terraces, stage, fountains, and other structural elements, ensuring durability, safety, and longevity. Gateway Waterfall Park stands today as a landmark civic project, reflecting the seamless integration of engineering excellence and community-centred design.
