HOW TO ENTER

Purchase any Brother printer, label printer, sewing machine or ScanNCut machine between 1 January 2023 and 30 March 2023 and stand the chance to win a cash prize.

Enter online at brother.co.za and have your product serial number and proof of purchase on hand to complete your entry. Only valid purchases made in South Africa, from 1 January 2023 until 30 March 2023, will be eligible to win a prize.

Entries are valid for purchases of Brother hardware only. No entry will be considered for purchases of consumable products such as ink, toners, tapes or sewing and craft accessories.

You may only enter once per single product purchased. The serial number of the product will be validated prior to winners being announced.

You may enter more than once with additional, qualifying product purchases and separate product serial numbers.

Weekly prize winners will be drawn on a Friday from 13 January and announced on our website and social media platforms on the same day. Winners will be notified by email.

Prize winnings will be deposited by electronic funds transfer into a nominated bank account within seven (7) days of notification being made. No cash will be handed over.

Prize winners will be drawn as follows:

• 1 Weekly Winner of R10,000 per week will be drawn from all eligible entries received for the week prior to the draw date in the ‘Win with Brother’ Competition. The first draw will take place on 13 January 2023
• 1 Monthly Winner of R20,000 per month will be drawn from all eligible entries received for the month prior to the draw date of the ‘Buy, Enter & Win with Brother’ Competition. The first monthly draw will take place on 1 February 2023
• 1 Grand Prize Winner of R70,000 will be drawn at the end of the ‘Buy, Enter & Win with Brother’ Competition. The Grand Prize Winner will be drawn on 31 March 2023 from all eligible entries received since 1 January 2023.

Entries remain valid for 1 weekly draw; 1 monthly draw; and the Grand Prize draw, with the following exceptions:

• You may only win 1 x R10,000 weekly prize with the same serial number
• You may only win 1 x R20,000 monthly prize with the same serial number

TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to the ‘Buy, Enter & Win with Brother’ Competition.

By entering the competition you agree that you will receive further communication and marketing material from Brother International South Africa. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully and by participating in this Competition, all participants irrevocably agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be solely interpreted by the organisers of the ‘Buy, Enter & Win with Brother’ Competition.

The organisers of the Competition may amend these terms and conditions at any time during the Competition, by posting such amendments on their website: https://campaigns.brother.co.za/win-with-brother-competition/.

The Competition runs from  1 January 2023 until midnight on 30 March 2023 on the https://campaigns.brother.co.za/win-with-brother-competition/.

The total value of prizes to be won is R250,000.

To enter the Competition you must be 18 years old or older and live in South Africa (being a resident or a citizen).

Directors and/or Members and/or Agents and/or Promoters and/or Consultants to Promoters and/or Employees and/or Contractors and/or Family members of any of the aforementioned or their participating partners are not eligible to enter or even claim the prizes.

No prize will be awarded to any person to whom such prize may not be legally awarded including, but not limited to minors under the age of 18 years.

Purchases made before 1 January 2023 and after 30 March 2023 will not be eligible to enter the competition.

Prize winners will be drawn by random number generator and entries will be validated against proof of purchase and product serial number.

The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

By submitting an entry into the ‘Buy, Enter & Win with Brother’ Competition, prize winners’ consent to their name, surname and province being published on the Brother South Africa website (www.brother.co.za) and official Brother South Africa social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn).

The winners will be contacted by email after the draw. Three attempts will be undertaken to contact the winner. All attempts to contact the winners will be made by email or phone and any other means of contact we have available to us. If there is no response from the winners within 3 days of the initial email/phone call we will be compelled to pick a new winner. The subsequent winner will then fall into the same above criteria for contact.

The winners agree to supply a valid identification document (SA ID or passport), proof of address, congratulatory post, and any other validation procedure determined by the Organisers, in order to claim their prize.

The prize is non-transferrable.

Entrants indemnify the organisers or their respective affiliates for any loss or damage that it or its respective affiliates may suffer because of the Entrant’s breach of these terms and conditions.

Consequently, the Entrants agree to compensate the organisers or their respective affiliates for any loss or damage it suffered (including consequential damages and/or legal expenses incurred) because of the Entrant’s breach of these terms and conditions. The Entrants also agree to hold the organisers or their respective affiliates harmless for any claim made against it or their respective affiliates by third parties due to the Entrant’s breach of these terms and conditions.

The prizes may not be awarded if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if the organisers detect and/or suspect any irregularities or fraudulent practices.

All participants’ indemnify the organisers and any other company associated with the competition and its advertising agencies against any and all claims howsoever from their participation in this competition unless the circumstances leading to such claim were within the organisers or its advertising agent’s reasonable control.

If required, as a result of a change in legislation by the Minister of Trade and Industry or if the Competition is declared unlawful, the organisers reserve the right to terminate this competition immediately and with notice.  In the event of such termination, all participants agree to waive any rights they may have accrued in terms of this Competition and acknowledge that they have no recourse against the organisers, its participatory partners or its promotional agents, unless the unlawfulness of the Competition has regard to any circumstances within the Organisers or its promotional agents reasonable control.

At the end of the competition of all the organiser’s obligations with regard to the Competition as well as with regard to the prize shall cease to exist.

These terms and conditions are severable and are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Brother South Africa abides by the POPI Act of South Africa and as such any personal information you provide will be used for the purposes of administrating the ‘Buy, Enter & Win with Brother’ Competition. No information will be shared with any third parties nor used in such a manner not expressly detailed in these terms and conditions. Further communications from Brother South Africa will be on an opt-in basis only.
